Written in PHP, Drupal CMS is an open source content management system (CMS) that can be used to build and deploy dynamic websites. It is especially used for knowledge management which forms back-end system for the websites, particularly for building online communities.

At Open Source Development, our Drupal team has successfully executed many challenging projects which includes multi-domain sites on a single Drupal installation. Based on the client’s requirements, our experienced team has designed and developed a variety of websites ranging from corporate / content driven websites to social networks, e-commerce solutions, online classifieds, and mobile websites using Drupal 6; across different verticals.

Being open source, developing a solution using Drupal is a relatively more time and cost effective alternate as compared to solutions built from the grounds-up. Having a modular and extensible architecture means that features can be easily built or removed to develop custom solutions tailored for individual requirements.

• Converting an existing site in some other cms to Drupal using the node import and custom import modules to speed up the migration process.
• Implemented multisite/multi domain features through one Drupal installation.
• Customizations of existing modules and building new custom modules as per the application requirements.
• Role based registration/profile management and access on various content types and separate dashboard for them.
• Developed custom themes for the web and mobiles using Zen themes.
• Created a custom module to manage theme css from admin interface for mobile themes
• Integrated popular ecommerce module for Drupal Ubercart with flash application. Flash application allows site members to create custom products and orders are managed through Ubercart.
• Used many popular modules including Views, CCK for custom content types, content permissions, security /performance and SEO modules, solar search.
• Integrated 3rd party applications like
  • Doc” to “Pdf” conversion using 3rd party Phplive.docx library.
  • Payment gateways
  • Newsletters, web services, custom flash players, chat, YouTube, Facebook, flickr etc. APIs.

A wide range of plug-ins and components are available that can be integrated to extend the basic Drupal functionalities. At Open Source Development, we also develop custom extensions to cater to features not available in Drupal.
